Michael Douglas was presented with the Satyajitray Lifetime Achievement Award during the 54th International Film Festival of India. Ayushmann Khurana presented the award on stage. Michael speaks Hindi
In a video posted on Instagram by several paparazzi, Ayushmann and Michael are seen sharing the stage. He adds: “I would like you to say a few words in Hindi, and it goes like: India main aapse bahut pyaar karta hu (India, I love you a lot)!” Michael agrees immediately and repeats the words with Ayushmann one-by-one. The star stumbled at the end of the first attempt but then did it perfectly the second time. The audience burst into cheers.
Michael dances to Naatu Naatu
Michael had also been seen on stage dancing to the Oscar-winning track Naatu Naatu by RRR. Shailendra Singh, the producer, was his companion. Michael did it again for a while after Shailendra Singh and others had done the Naatu Naatu hook step. Michael then began to do other steps that made others laugh.

He spoke about the importance and relevance of the festival, and the leadership abilities of PM Modi. “I also think this is more and more the sort of spirit, and the beauty of this festival are you had 78 foreign countries represented and it’s only a reflection of the strength of your Indian filming, which is renowned and known around the world. I think you’re in very good hands I think it’s beginning to.”
The film Endless Borders was awarded the Best Film Award at the closing ceremony of IFFI. Bulgarian film director Stephan Komandarev won the Best Director award for his film Blaga’s Lessons. Melanie Thierry, a French actress, won the Best Actor Award (Female), for her performance in Party of Fools. Pouria Rahimi sam from Iran was awarded the Best Actor Award (Male), for his performance Endless Borders.
