This year’s Super Bowl was bursting with thrills for Hollywood enthusiasts. Deadpool and Wolverine
Deadpool 3 has been titled Deadpool & Wolverine, a movie in which Ryan Reynolds pledges to revolutionize the Marvel Cinematic Universe “forever”.
Directed by Shawn Levy, the much-awaited film will feature Reynolds reprising the role of the infamous anti-hero Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, and Hugh Jackman returning as the adamantium-clawed mutant Wolverine.
In the 2.25-minute clip, viewers witness the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the multiverse overseers last seen in Loki season two, abduct Deadpool as he celebrates his birthday and transport him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Fall Guy
The creators of the upcoming action thriller The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling, launched a Super Bowl advertisement showcasing multiple action sequences, aliens, and space cowboys. In one scene, the Barbie actor is observed shedding tears while listening to Taylor Swift’s song All Too Well’ “Have you been crying to Taylor Swift?” Emily Blunt asks Gosling in the trailer. “Doesn’t everybody?” Gosling retorts.
Based on Glen A. Larson’s 1980s television series of the same title, The Fall Guy stars Gosling as Colt Seavers, a stuntman searching for a missing movie star he once did stunt work for. The film also stars Blunt as Gosling’s ex-girlfriend Jody and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the AWOL star. Directed by David Leitch, it is set to hit theaters on May 3.
The creators of the upcoming musical Wicked Part 1, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Evio, unveiled the film’s official preview during Super Bowl 2024. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the big-screen adaptation narrates the untold tale of the Witches of Oz, inspired by the best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire, originally based on L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, previously adapted into MGM’s classic 1939 film of the same name.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Director Wes Ball injects new vitality into the global, expansive franchise set several generations in the future after Caesar’s rule, in which apes are the prevailing species living in harmony, and humans have been relegated to living in obscurity. As a new despotic ape leader constructs his empire, one young ape embarks on a daunting journey that will compel him to question everything he has known about the past and make decisions that will shape a future for apes and humans alike.
20th Century Studios India releases Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes in cinemas on May 10 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
