Antetokounmpo welled up with tears as soon as the final buzzer sounded.

In the triumphant victory, Antetokounmpo contributed 23 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, earning him a spot in his inaugural Olympic appearance.

Former high NBA draft pick Georgios Papagiannis racked up 19 points with an impressive 7-for-10 shooting, including 16 points in the first half.

The qualifying tournament held in Piraeus, Greece, showcased teams like Slovenia — led by Luka Doncic and defeated soundly by Greece in the semifinals — as well as Egypt, the Dominican Republic, New Zealand, and the Croatian team conquered by Greece in the finals.

Croatia, featuring established NBA players like Ivica Zubac and Dario Saric, along with former Knicks player Mario Hezonja, put up a tough fight.

Brazil secured a slot in their third Olympics in four years by winning a qualifying tournament in Latvia against the host team.

Spain held their ground and prevailed over a Bahamian team aiming for their first-ever Summer Games appearance — Spain will now make their seventh consecutive Olympic appearance.

With Greece, Brazil, and Spain adding to the already qualified eight teams: Germany, Serbia, USA, Canada, South Sudan, Japan, Australia, and host France.

The twelfth and final Olympic spot was sealed on Sunday night when Puerto Rico triumphed over Lithuania.
